SSM Health will provide care of emergency medical conditions to individuals regardless of their ability to pay.

When you receive medical care, you also receive a lot of paperwork about your care. Hospital and physician billing can be confusing. Find frequently asked questions below about both SSM Health hospital bills and SSM Health Medical Group or SSM Health Dean Medical Group bills.

How can I make a payment?
SSM Health offers three options for paying your hospital bill. You can pay on this site. You can pay by phone by calling Customer Service at 855-989-6789 from 8 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday. You can also mail your payment. You can pay your bill online, by mail or by phone. Choose the facility where you received your services. Payments will be posted within 24 to 48 hours.

What forms of payment do you accept online?
We accept cash, check and major credit cards: MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover. We also accept E-checks.

Can I pay my bill over the telephone?
Yes, we accept major credit card payments and checks over the phone or by mail. To pay over the phone, call customer service at toll free 855-989-6789 from 8 am to 5 pm (CST) Monday through Friday. Major credit cards are accepted. E-check is also available.

Can I make payment arrangements?
Yes, please contact our customer service department to discuss reasonable payments arrangements and our zero interest patient loan option.

Will SSM Health file my hospital claim?
Yes, as a courtesy, we will submit a claim to your insurance company. It is important that you provide accurate and complete insurance information at the time of registration to ensure that the claim process goes smoothly.

Will SSM Health submit secondary insurance claims?
Yes, we submit secondary claims on your behalf. Secondary claims are submitted after your primary claim has completed processing.

I believe that I overpaid my account. How do I get a refund?
Please contact our customer service department. We will review your account(s). If you are due a refund, we will process it promptly.

Who do I contact for financial assistance if I cannot pay my bill?
Please call our customer service department at 855-989-6789 between 8 am and 5 pm, Monday through Friday for information about financial assistance. We are also pleased to offer other payments arrangements.

Your Physician Bill and MyChart

Patients using MyChart through their SSM physician groups can now conveniently, easily and securely pay their bills online. This option is not available for SLUCare physician bills.

MyChart enables patients to quickly perform many health care-related tasks: emailing their providers, viewing lab results, requesting appointments and prescription renewals, reviewing medications and health histories.

Now, patients can also pay their physician office online with MyChart. Payments will post immediately.

How do you sign up for MyChart?
Patients can request MyChart activation code during their clinic or hospital visit. This code enables you to login and create your own user ID and password. Please call your SSM primary care clinic to obtain an activation code or ask to sign up during your next SSM physician office or hospital visit.

Is MyChart safe for credit card transactions?
Yes. The transaction portion of MyChart is protected with the latest encryption software from Instamed, an industry leader in online security.

Is there a fee for this service?
No. This service is free.
